Just got done watching the second episode of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. What a great show! I can’t recommend this one enough. I’ve been a fan of show creator Aaron Sorkin (“West Wing”, “Sports Night”, “The American President”) for quite a while, but I hope that this series might have even wider appeal because it won’t be so politically focused as some of his earlier work.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip is on Monday nights at 9:00 (central). The pilot is online at nbc.com in its entirety. Even better, the promos make it sound like NBC is planning to put each episode online after the show has aired for that week, so it’s easy to get caught up if you haven’t watched it yet. Enjoy!

Eureka! We may be deep in the dog days of summer, but a new TV show just started that’s worthy of a spot in the fall lineup.

EUReKA follows a U.S. marshal who gets stranded in a small town called Eureka, which he discovers is actually a top-secret brain trust where the government has various scientists working on potentially world-altering experiments.

It’s smart, funny, and inventive. Definitely TiVo material!

Was watching Bravo tonight and saw a small ad for an interesting site called BrilliantButCancelled.com. Followed the inevitable Blog link, and found an entry entitled “91 NEW Reality Shows You Need To Know About”.

91 new reality shows?!? Wow! How much is too much? (My guess at this point, especially after reading some of the descriptions, is somewhere around 89. )

Wow… Check out the video preview for Heroes, airing on NBC Monday nights this fall. I know that it’s easy to be fooled by three minutes of random video, but I can still hope that this lives up to its potential.
